Areas of Expertise
Psychotherapy, Supervision, and Training with a multicultural framework
Elvin’s passion is working with adults in psychotherapy to provide lasting change via an integrative approach. She believes in bringing together psycho-education and a relational focus to activate her clients’ wellbeing.
Elvin is also a firm believer of the need to take different cultural perspectives into consideration when training and supervising therapists. As someone who has worked with in supervision and trained psychotherapists from different cultures, she cultivates an exploratory and relational approach in her work.
Her commitment to making TA psychotherapy theory culturally attuned resulted in Elvin writing two books on the subject in Turkish: "My Heart is Cross with My Tongue" (2021) mostly aimed at lay people who want to learn more about psychotherapy, and her second book, "The Therapist’s Dilemma" is published in 2024 providing further insights into the dynamics of relational psychotherapy for professionals.
